I’ve been browsing the internet for record labels that some of my favorite bands are/used to be on. I remember DCFC used to be on Barsuk so I e-mailed them:

“subject: Unsolicited demos?
message: Band from Portland, OR “Botanist” has an album/demo to send your way. Is it possible to get it to someone that could critique it/see if we’re any good/throw it away/feed it to a goat?
Grant”

…and they replied with this, which really impressed me:

“while it’s totally tempting to feed a goat a CD, i think that might kill the poor sucker! unfortunately we’re going to have to pass as well – we’re not accepting demos at this time. we sincerely appreciate being on your radar, and if we get a moment to listen to your stuff on myspace, we’ll let you know.

Gejius’ Remix

I’ve been trying to twist Gejius’ arm to do a remix of one of our songs. I think it’s finally working – maybe I can get one by the end of this week and post it on here?
